I know that i’m about four months too late in telling you all about these fabrics and wallpapers, but I have to say I am still cherishing the fact that these are not beige!
Beige is definitely back in the bag and out pops its replacement – colour!
My favourite shops this month are Sanderson and Svenskt Tenn because of their fab collections. Think spring, freshness, colour, vintage and a tad swedish influence and there you have it.
What I love about Sanderson’s new collection is that the fabrics are vibrant, cool and refreshing and can be accommodated in every home. Even if you are not sure, a splash of vintage 1950s print in a cushion, or a tie back, or reupholster an old beige chair can just revamp your living space.
I think the Poppies and the Calico ducks would look great in a kitchen, on the kitchen chair cushions or as a blind. The colours just really want to make me smile.
These colourways in Rainforest also work really well with Svenskt Tenn fabrics, as below. I love the bold patterns and acidic colours mixed with the browns and greys which just seem to bring the outdoors in.
I really love this pattern called Gröna Fåglar, Josef Franks design, being inspired by The Green Book of Birds by Frank G. Ashbrook.
